Electronics note: I'd like to say a few things about the pickup in this guitar. I'm a fiend for the P90 single-coil sound, as well as the elegance of its installation. The Dragonwing guitar was planned as a single-pickup instrument from the start to cut down on as much clutter as possible, but the typical single-coil P90 is extremely noisy by itself.
I turned to Clint Searcy of Searcy String Works out of the Nashville area to help me out and he knew exactly what he wanted to do. I wanted a humbucking P90 pickup that could hold its own playing traditional jazz as well as fusion or epic stage rock. And here it is, slipped neatly into my custom walnut cover. One of my favorite pickups, ever.
